Comments: | The undesignated feature located ~45 m northwest of Big Anemone Geyser and ~45 m SSE of Model Geyser has been added to the database as GT-TD3-Model. It was first reported to GeyserTimes in June 2024 and observers have applied the colloquial name "Little Hucker Geyser." Durations have been <1 minute and intervals have been <15 minutes. We will migrate entries for this feature under Other Geyser to GT-TD3 shortly.
Additionally, GT-TD1-Aurum has received the designation UNNG-GHG-7a and we have updated the feature name in our database accordingly.
As a reminder, we apply the GT-TD naming scheme when users wish to record data for a feature that has no UNNG designation. The number is applied sequentially and the appended feature name is chosen as the closest feature with a USBGN-official and unique designation, or failing that a feature with an entrenched name. Because these designations are intended to be temporary, we recommend not using the GT-TD designation in publications. If you do, make sure to include coordinates and a description of the feature when it is first introduced. |
