Steamboat – This is the 5th day. Not much visitation today. There is much agitation in both vents and it is almost constant. No bursts over 20’ were observed at any time. From 8:40- to 9:10, there were 12 bursts from the south vent – the north vent was splashing water several feet almost steadily. From 11:16 to 11:46 am, there were 10 bursts from the south vent and the north vent acted as before. From 1:15 to 1:44 there [were] 10 bursts from the south vent; the activity from the north vent was unchanged. From 3:13 to 3:43pm, there were 8 bursts from the south vent; the north vent same as before.
There was very little runoff today but the agitation continued strong & steady all day. The water level also remained high. |
