Note: | 7/3/1985 Each eruption was very short-lasting 15 to 30 seconds only. Since the eruption vent is still under the overlying rock so when it spouts the water is forced to the sides – some of the water comes up thru the nearby cracks to maybe 1 to 2 feet high. Most of the water though is shot across the blowout hole maybe 4 to 5 feet or so. You can see the water starting to erupt under the rock – 5 seconds or so before it comes up above the rock. |
