Note:NOTE no times - date noted - ECHINUS GEYSER: This geyser has erupted consistently all summer at intervals of 1 ¼ to 1 ½ hours. The eruption follows within 15 minutes of the time the overflow from the crater reaches the end of the terraces built up on the northwest side of the geyser. The average height of eruption is 35-40 feet, and the active period lasts from 5-10 minutes, with the many bursts typical of a fountain type geyser. The maximum height reached by this geyser is estimated at 70 feet, but such bursts are rare.
