Note: | 9-22-1980 Blue Geyser – at 11:00 drained, down 3 ½ feet, gray turbid and boiling vigorously 3 to 8 feet – 204ºF Iris Geyser – overflow slightly, with a lower water level (waves from Blue are not splashing into it), erupting gray water 183ºF. = Water flow leaving Porcelain Basin was down sharply today. Perhaps 1/5 of normal flow. Part of the decrease was due to Blue Geyser draining during the morning. Soon afterward Blue Quit, Pinwheel drained. Green algae is beginning to make a reappearance in Constant’s runoff. All other algae remains mud coated. |
