Note: | May 21 1983 – no time noted ~afternoon - Crater Spring – The difference in activity from yesterday is striking. Yesterday most of the big splashes were from the center of the pool. Today it was erupting fully 6-8 feet in massive bursts from a vent on the west side of the crater. The water was opaque grey. Root Pool – Boiling up ½ to 1 foot from the part of the pool closest to the trail. |
