| Note: | 7/23/1988 - no time noted - A visitor reported a very high burst (a major minor?) (a minor major?) from Steamboat at 7am. She said it was higher than Old Faithful and lasted about 15 minutes. It was not a major eruption – no steam phase or runoff – at best a large minor eruption. Steamboat looks the same as it has all summer with 10-40’ bursts from both vents. |
