Note: | Lots of juvenile geyserite at & around Vixen Geyser since I last observed the site in August 2014. Finely tuberculose geyserite covers the large broken blocks that rim the central crater. In shallow splash pools around the ring of broken blocks, former loose geyserite gravel now has moderately smooth coatings of geyserite (= incipient geyser beads, maybe?) - some have been cemented together. Delicate geyserite terracettes are present in some of the proximal to near-proximal runoff channels. |
