** Cistern Spring has dropped about another 1.5' below yesterday's level. ~2.5-3' below the inner rim. pool still has a weak boil with bubbles 🫧 breaking the surface in a variety of areas over the vent. (more bubbles 🫧 than yesterday) Pool is greenish in color.

North is indeed having frequent vertical and bounce, however all but a small handful of those were meaningless fleeting spritzes and sloshes. A series of three minors just past 1700 had more sustained and heavy North play, both angled and bouncing, with mediocre South play trying to go vertical. The first two of these minors sent strong babbling brooks down the runoff channel, but according to Bill Beverly not enough to go into the east channel under the bridge, which was damp. |

NV boomy in the morning but quieted down by the afternoon. NV has some pretty nice volume, and frequent small bounce/vertical. SV dragging along behind, but willing to engage with the bigger NV's. ~0945 conc, sust, vertical with raging river. A bit hard to see SV but NVV hit about 30'. ~0955 smaller followup. ~1006 another even smaller followup. 1200 isolated concerted sustained vertical w/ river. 1244 nice concerted sustained vertical, NV punchy and heavy, SV nice sustained fountaining to end it. Didn't get me to stand up or anything though. 1253 followup, not sustained but almost as thick and tall. 1312 somewhat tall NVV pop. (More NVV than that seen, just what I took notes of). Regressed after that, a lot of quiet periods, jabba was drying out almost completely, all minors just single splashes. Decided to leave by 1500.

Moderate improvement in activity from the past 2 days. 0845 to 1045: 1 decent minor per hour with runoff from South Vent (no fountaining), nothing sustained. 1122 to 1134: activity increased with a series of minors, initiated by North Vent, nothing very high, but vertical, and South Vent joined in to produce decent runoff. 5 total noteworthy minors in 12 minutes. Then very little until a nice minor with some fountaining from South Vent at 1200, with a smaller followup minor at 1203. Then very little activity until 1325 when I observed the best minor of the day: thick North Vent vertical and nice tall fountaining from South Vent. Produced very noisy babbling brook runoff. Unfortunately there was no followup. One more decent minor observed at 1400, but it was weaker than the others. |

Improved from yesterday: I got 82% concerted the first hour. During the hour I recorded 8 babbling brooks and 2 raging rivers. There was a nice series as I started this first hour, but it was not as strong as I saw 3 days ago. The next hour started off very quiet, until 1322, when North Vent had the tallest minor that I’ve seen recently. For the most part, the second hour was quieter than the first, except for that tall north. The third was a little better than the second, but not enough to make me want to stay. Overall, North Vent has often been “boomy” & grumbly. |

Steamboat still seems to be recovering from its normal slowdown in its cycle. It was hard to observe, especially this morning, due to north and northeast winds blowing the steam towards me. Most minors that I observed this morning (0805-0905) were small in size and volume. This afternoon (1455-1555) some minors were larger than this morning’s. There were few quiet periods this afternoon. The runoff channel seems to still be getting lighter. |

Dan reported a nice minor before I arrived. For the first hour, I recorded about 79% concerted. Then, from 1400-1500, it was about 80%.
During the whole observation time, there were nice wide minors at times, but other periods of only splashing and long pauses between minors. There was one minor that I recorded as North center & South Vent “fountaining” to about tree height (shorter trees from my seated position on the mid deck). I recorded 5 Raging Rivers, & 10+ Babbling Brooks. The South Vent runoff channel is starting to whiten.
The last 2-3 hours were much quieter than earlier in the day, with minors having shorter durations and less water. |

Overall, there were some nice minors with good runoff at times. There were also longer quiet periods as the day went on. Many of the minors were of short duration.
Concerted minor with vertical north and a raging river started the first hour. There were 2 more babbling brooks, and another nice minor with a raging river about 50 minutes into the hour. Another 2 babbling brooks rounded out the hour. The minors during this hour were about 87% concerted.
At 1305 there was another nice minor with strong runoff followed by some babbling brooks and another nice minor at 1359. Two more came at 1439 & 1441.
The minors slowed as the afternoon went on. The runoff channel was drying out between minors, which were spaced further apart as time went on. |

A bit steamy with wind blowing minors toward the south, but appeared to be about 70% concerted. North Vent was tall at times with some vertical. South Vent was quieter (generally more splashy but not very tall) and did not appear to initiate any minors. There was audible runoff a few times. |

During this observation time I observed many sustained north vertical minors. Most of the vertical minors weren’t tall, however at around 1050 from steerage I saw a big sustained concerted north/south minor that sent many fist sized rocks down the channel. Several raging rivers were also observed in this two hour time period. The play in between these big events is very lackluster with hardly any runoff down the channel, the channel was actually drying out substantially in between these big minors |

1017 series of thick and tall angled north vents with sustained low vertical and south putting down a babbling brook, 1047 another series of thick north with vertical this time not sustained, play in between these events were pretty lackluster north mostly on the wispy side, south only occasionally putting down the channel. |

Returned to water from steam (8am is a placeholder until I get actual time). Continued angled jetting 60 to 80 feet from N vent and maybe 5 to 10 ft from S vent all day. Still jetting at 4 pm when he left basin. Cistern water level is inside pool but above inner tube as of noonish. |

0914 strong concerted sustained vertical, 0915 bigger followup. Two more SCV's @ 0923 & 0924 (tall nv vertical). Followup was better today, and NV not dragging behind SV as much. Declined sharply after the 0900 events. Occasional sustained concerted verticals throughout the day but nothing as strong as in the morning. Play in between weaker too. NV less rumbly in the evening and SV runoff seemed less. |

Better than yesterday. A lot of nice minors but not a lot of follow up or sustain to them. SV often finishes them off with a long solo after NV drops out. Emerald still clear & Cistern still only out the back channel.
Fairly slow until late morning. 1059 CSV with tall NV vertical. Decent or better concerted verticals @ 1216, 1300, 1342, 1358 & 1359, 1412. 1441 with NV a bit more sustained. 1527 very large concerted vertical w/ tall NVV and sustained thick south solo at the end. Best minor of the last couple days so far. 1655 CSV. 1836 large again, not quite as big as 3h ago. 1855 very large again. More conc. sust. 1953 & 2041. 2056 thick. 2218 heard something loud from the parking lot. |

Fairly quiet most of the morning. Occasional strong concerted minors in the afternoon and evening. Not quite as strong as what we got yesterday evening. SV can have some nice sustained fountaining, & NV can have some nice vertical but it is usually brief. There is some follow up but it is usually much smaller. NV very grumbly. Cistern still only overflowing out the back channel. Emerald clear. Echinus was murky this am but is now clear. |

0919 at steerage... runoff steady but not very exciting. 0939 from lower deck... concerted, sustained, but angled surges. Mixed with random tossing in between. One angled N did get to tree tops. Surges made me look up but not stand up. There was no screaming from the gazer encampment. They all continued reading their books. :) |

Arrived to lethargic but coordinated play that steadily improved. Had a series of minors that were short in height but high in volume, 3-10 minutes apart. South Vent put out a lot of sustained water during these events. Mostly quieted down again by 0930. |
