Thanks to Mark Wolf for posting the note earlier in the day. Went out and took a look from 1600-1630 and then again from 2000-2030. Excelsior is having sizzling boils, some strong enough to put out waves across the pool. The boils are coming from about 3-5 areas in the center of the pool with the strongest boils in the South West corner near the "beach/alcove". They come from each vent independently and not in concert. Most boils are around 1-2' (.3m-.6m) but occasionally a strong boil will happen, lasting 15 seconds to a height of 4-6 feet (1.2m-1.8m). These stronger boils push waves across the pool even with a strong wind. |

frequent large boils heard, some causing significant waves. around 1130, observed a few of the boils visually, one estimated 3-4 ft. two main boil areas. edge vents on south side boiling vigorously. most activity ive observed in the two summers of coming at least once a week. |
