Comments: | Bridge Geyser (Sprinkler Group, Lower Geyser Basin) - I've never seen it erupt before. Observed five eruptions - all were <1 minute in duration (seen from Fountain overlook platform, using binoculars and labeled satellite photography with sight lines). All eruptions were a meter or less in height (it's difficult to tell from a distance). Eruptions were apparently from the southern end of the southern pool (unlike those observed in 1989 by Wolf & Paperiello - see "Report on the Kaleidoscope & Sprinkler Groups", p. 50). Observed eruptions at 1735, 1807, 1828 to 1829, 1836, and 1844. No more observed from 1845 to 1905, when I left. Filmed one of the five eruptions. |
Clip 1 of this video compilation (beginning to time stamp 1:25) shows Bridge Geyser's 6:44 PM eruption on 5 June 2016. | Entrant: JSJ Time Entered:2016-11-01 18:52:11 Time Uploaded:2016-11-01 18:52:11 Submitted to:Geysertimes.org |
