Comments: | Clepsydra Geyser resumed erupting from 1936 on, after a post-Fountain pause from 1930 to 1936. Initial part of Clepsydra's 1936-onward eruption consisted of alternating splashing-pause-splashing-pause. The early part of the 1930 to 1936 pause was remarkable - nothing was playing in the western Fountain Group - all was quiet. This was in contrast to 5 or 6 erupting geysers earlier that evening (Fountain, Morning, Twig, Jet, Super Frying Pan, Clepsydra). The silent Clepsydra pause was interrupted at 1933 by a few splashes from New Bellefontaine Geyser. |
