| Comments: | Height was taller than the May 20 eruption, but no height estimate was obtained: the top of the water column from the north vent was straight up when viewed from the upper platform. Clear blue sky and early morning sunlight weather conditions. Eruption was steamier than the May 20 eruption due to the cool morning temperature. Steam phase was not as painfully loud as the May 20 eruption, but we still had to shout to be heard. |
