Comments: | Bit of a surprise with the 26m preceding Fountain duration. But Fountain was refusing to erupt. The water level in Morning kept creeping up slowly, and the boil was slowly getting more vigorous. Looked somewhat encouraging by the time we lost visibility on the pool with the sun going down. It had well over an hour to continue to progress after that before everything happened. A couple of 100' bursts early on with the tallest I could see measuring 118'. Wind fairly still so we had to swap sides of Fountain a couple times to see it best. Well illuminated with several strong flashlights. A couple of nice blue bubbles, but no popping sounds. Short duration for both Morning and Fountain. Did not measure the height on Fountain. |
