| Comments: | At approximately 1850 walked up to Fan and Mortar. Judging by the amount of water all over Lower Mortar there had been a minor shortly before I arrived (probably not more than an hour). Here’s what followed: 1850- River vents off when I arrived. Water levels in Lower Mortar looking fair.
1912-River vents come on. Gold stays off.
1922-River vents turn off. A classic pause? Gold and Angle still not seen. 1936-Arch erupts.
1938-Lower Mortar minor, D=2min. 1953-River vents come on.
1955-Gold comes on.
2017-River vents shut off and Upper Mortar puts on the best display of post Lower Mortar minor surging I have ever seen. Nothing else happened worth noting. However, Fan and Mortar are looking marvelous. |
