Comments: | Geyser in a crevice at Krauma geothermal area, Deildartunguhver. Erupted with interval 2 to 3minutes and then drained. Height about 3 feet. Feature is in red rocks, with a vertical crack on a small hill. Geyser is uphill from the flat ground level. At ground level there are several small vents below the geyser and then 4 active spouters to the North within 30 feet. This area is called Slaturhver (slaughter hot spring) per volvanic-springs.com and is is above "vent 1" in the photos and is not vent 3, 5, or 9 per their photos. |
Video of the eruption cycle. Note the smaller vents below the geyser which increase in activity prior to the eruption. | Entrant: Graham Time Entered:2021-12-27 08:02:01 Time Uploaded:2021-12-27 08:02:01 Submitted to:Geysertimes.org |
