Comments:vr; bursts continuously between 1801-1833 every 2-3 minutes

From the Geyser Gazer Sput, v12n5p6, description by William J. Huether: "We got to the boardwalk about 5:30 P.M. and decided to walk it counterclockwise to save the best for last. As we went past Opal Pool, we noticed it was murky, and had strong convective activity over the vent. We continued around and decided to come back to Opal and observe for a while. At 6:01 P.M. it began having bursts every 2 1⁄2 to 3 minutes. The first few were only a foot or two high, but at 6:08 it shot a slender stream 15' in the air. This was accompanied by an underground boom that shook the boardwalk. After a few more bursts in the 6' range, at 6:20 it gave us a 20-foot eruption that looked very similar to the photo in Bryan’s book. This one also had a very strong underground boom. All the bursts, even the small ones, were accompanied by heavy wave action in the pool. The activity then slowly died down, and by 6:33 the water level had dropped considerably, the pool was clearing, and there was no sign of any boiling or convection."
