Comments: | 1611:35 Bijou pause, 1612:43 SW Vents spitting, 1613:53 SW Vents on 1614:36 water in Feather, 1614:50 water in Cave, 1615:50 Feather on for a Giant hot period. Mastiff to overflow, 1616:10 Cave bubbling, 1617:23 Cave on, 1618:08 Rust on and increased Mastiff overflow, 1618:19 Feather Satellite on. Mastiff began to boil with steadily increasing runoff, mostly 1-2 feet but there were some wider boils to 3-4 feet and India was covered. 1621:15 Mastiff dropped quickly, Cave and Rust shut off, and Bijou came on along with B-C Vent. Feather and Feather Satellite did not react at all but stayed on strong. 1622:21 Posthole on along with bubbling in Posthole Satellite, Emerald, and Slit, and Rust restarted. Water immediately came up in Giant, first low, then building to half cone height with a high water level. Then there was a series of sustained cone-filling surges that put water out the front, a surge to twice cone height, and then Giant started at 1625:23. Note that Cave was in full eruption before Rust and Feather Satellite. |
