Comments: | Omg! Incredible instant start! North vent went into steam before SOUTH vent. Tons of rocks thrown!. Beautiful white water with only bit of slighly muddy water from the vertical saddle. * 8/5/2018 > 31 hours and Steamboat's NV is still putting out a mix of steam and light water. NV and SV runoff channels still flowing with moderate water levels. Middle platform wet with Steamboat "rain". Cistern Spring is down 16 - 18" @ 2100. * 8/6/2018 > @ 0900 (43 hours post eruption) Steamboat is still in heavy steam phase with NV cycling steady mix steam/water to 10+ ft. Cistern Spring has only dropped a few inches since last night. VERY impressive steam cloud from the road. I have video and photos to support this! |
